Maybell Nieves, M.D.

Dr. Maybell Nieves is a highly experienced general and breast surgeon with international training and a track record of excellence in both public and private healthcare systems. She currently serves as the academic coordinator and breast surgeon at the Universitary Hospital of Caracas, Venezuela’s leading public healthcare institution, where she manages a large volume of oncologic cases and trains fellows in breast surgery. A graduate of the European Oncology Institute and the University of Milan, Dr. Nieves pioneered the breast surgery department at the Home Care Surgical Unit and has worked extensively with non-profits focused on early detection and breast cancer awareness. Her strong leadership, passion for surgical innovation, and commitment to compassionate care are reflected in both her clinical practice and academic contributions.
